Question: hi, I just had my molar filling done yesterday afternoon, was a deep decay. after the numbing gone, the gum hurt and this morning , I notice some whitepurple red color bruise like on the gum on both side of tooth. it doesnt hurt anymore, my face is a bit swollen on that area. is that normal after a deep filling or something else. i xalled the office and they said it is normal, I never have thing like this with other filling before. I also have the picture

Thanks for the query..

I have read through your complain and also evaluated the image..
Your gum is appearing injured during the filling and due to that the gum is appearing bruised..
It is not normal and so much gum injury should not be there if filling is done carefully..

Anyways it will heal soon so there is nothing to be worried for..

If the gum pains you can apply Lidocaine gel.over it..

If the tooth pains then get an x Ray done to check whether the nerve is exposed or not..
