Question: Hey doctor,

I recently started taking Somac 40mg 2 days ago now and its been working well expect I have just got this rash on my left hand out of the blue which I have attached a picture of. It's kind of itchy and it came out of nowhere is this a side effect of the tablets or some type of drug eruption and should I stop taking them and go back to the doctor?

Brief Answer:
A reported side effect

Detailed Answer:
Dear sir, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns . it is very uncommon for Somac to cause skin rash or skin reaction but still a reported side effect that occurs in less than 1% of patients using Somac. I would recommend that you stop using it and refer to your doctor to prescribe an alternative medication .. I hope I answered your question . if you don't have any other clarifications then please close the discussion .
Note: Hope the answers resolves your concerns, however for further guidance of skin related queries consult our Dermatologist.Click here to book a consultation
