Brief Answer:
Please apply Mupirocin ointment

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail and taken seen attached pictures.

The findings are that of small red swelling below the skin surface which is most consistent with folliculitis, an infection of a hair follicle. These occur in areas with coarse short hair as in the back of the neck. It happens over a period of time and is associated with shaving, retention of secretions due to blockage of a follicle and due to constant rubbing of the skin with clothes. Unavoidable scratching and friction with clothes exacerbates it and prevents healing.

You may apply Mupirocin ointment twice a day and this will contain the infection and kill the bacteria. Please avoid scratching the area with nails and as much possible wear shirts without collars, this will minimize skin irritation. Also please prevent sweat collection at the back of your neck to prevent worsening and recurrent problems.

This not something to worry much about, however should it not be improving in 15 days to a month, I request you to check out with your doctor.

Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
