Can Bactrim Cause Dizziness And Headaches?

my boyfriend went to the ER 3 days ago and was treated for penis folliculitis...it was accompanied by pelvic gland pain. he was given bactrim. yesterday he was experiencing dizziness and head and neck pain. is this related or do you think he was misdiagnosed?

Hello,

Yes, bacterium may cause signs of low blood sugar like sweating, palpitations, giddiness and weakness. But same time you have to check other possibilities of giddiness like hypotension, BPPV or anemia etc. Hence, tell to your doctor directly, he will examine for the possible causes of giddiness and treat you accordingly. Till then for symptomatic improvement you can use tablet Vertin for two days.
