Brief Answer:
Thyroid problem

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
Your symptoms are mainly associated with hypothyroid status.
Once thyroid hormones become normal, these symptoms will disappear .
For now you can take an anti histamine tablet like cetrizine and apply calamine lotion to get immediate relief.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
thank you

There can be non specific skin lesions in hypothyoidism.
I would like to see a photograph of the involved area.
This will help me in giving a closer diagnosis.
Please upload a photograph of the involved area.
Waiting for your response.
Thank you.

no picture is necessary. i think you are right on the diagnosis. my doctor order thyroid meds and by my request we started with a small....25 mg....dosage. he said to return in 6 months to retest thyroid function. others with this problem have told me that much less time should occur for followups because finding the right regulating dosage can be a challenge. should i be asking for monthly checks and is my dosage too low as a starting point?

once in 3 months

Hello
Thanks for the follow up.
Don't go for monthly check up.
Blood work up once in 3 months should be sufficient.
