Azithromycin is an appropriate antibiotic for pneumonia.
Pneumonia can be seen on a chest X-ray. I always get a chest X-ray if I suspect a person has pneumonia to confirm the diagnosis.
I suspect a person may have pneumonia if they have a cough plus fever, and are feeling ill. Sometimes pneumonia can be heard on listening to the lungs, but not always.
