Question: My doctor has prescribed me mirap for my depression, I am taking them for about six weeks now and feel no different. I have dizzy spells that make me fall foreward and fall,especially when I bend. I just feel thiese tablets are not suitable for me, please help?

Mirap contains active ingredient mirtazapine.

This drug causes sedation as a side effect. In many cases, the sedation becomes intolerable to patients. They experience dizzy feeling and partial sleepiness.

I think you are experiencing side effects of Mirap.

I would suggest a change in antidepressant drug as your symptoms of depression are not improving. Drugs like escitalopram or sertraline (prescription drugs) are better and safer than mirtazapine.
