Brief Answer:
Depends on whether it is treated or not

Detailed Answer:
Untreated hyperthyroidism, regardless of it's cause, can cause difficulty in conceiving or maintaining pregnancy successfully.

However, if adequately treated , it does not generally keep one from becoming pregnant.

When I see someone like you in my practice, I typically order the following blood tests in addition to a detailed physical examination:

CBC
Electrolytes
Calcium
HbA1c (Glycosylated Hemoglobin = your 3 month glucose average)
Liver function tests
Kidney function tests
TSH
Free T4
Total T3
25 hydroxy Vitamin D

and a special test called
XXXXXXX (Radio Active Iodine)123 Thyroid Uptake and Scan

Follow up

Detailed Answer:
Yes it is important to see an endocrinologist soon. I dont think the 24 hour urine tests are directly related to the thyroid condition.
Treatment must commence right away. Seeing the expert will allow you to navigate this problem during reproductive situations such as planning to get pregnant and so on, because at each stage there are specific interventions required. For instance, if you are on anti-thyroid medication then it will have to be changed during the first 3 months and then revert to the original one again after that. There are several such examples, which a qualified endocrinologist will guide you through with.
