Question: what would cause a person to wake up with very red, hot arms?

Brief Answer: Allergy Detailed Answer: Hi, Most common reason is allergy. The allergens might be in the bed. Put the linen in 100 degree hot water and wash. Most often these are short lived reactions to such allergens. You can just apply CALADRYL lotion over it and / or take antihistamine preparations available over the counter like CLARITIN. Hope this helps.

Is it possible that taking Claritin contributed to the weakening of the walls of the disks in my spinal column? I have a herniated disk and wondered if taking Claritin for a year( with the dehydration that comes with the medication) could have caused the herniation.

I have been using loratadine allergy pills for a long time - more then 10 years. My sinus infections are so bad that my Dr put me on C0 Betahistine, (fluid and swelling in inner ear/Eustachian tube) so I stopped using my other allergy pills (I buy them at Costco). Would I be experiencing any withdrawal from my allergy pills? I have a weird restless feeling in my body, similar to when I was having to withdraw from prescription pain meds. I am also on my 3rd round of antibiotics, this one being moxifloxacin HCI. I was supposed to have my second sinus surgery last in 2013 (previous one in 2008), but I cancelled because my knee replacement surgery has not healed, and I wanted my body to deal with one thing at a time. Sorry I thought this was a free service. Thank you, Shirley Wiebe age 61

my son, 11 years has been having extremely foul smelling burps and gas for two weeks. Before this began, his breath had the smell of some sort of medication, much like something in at the dentist. His medications are: Zonisamide 300 mg and Loratadine 10 mg daily. could there be an underlying cause?

57 yrs old great health female, single, divorced. Very fit & health consciouse. Do not drink or smoke. Currently have no health insurance (working on it) as a consultant. Been experiencing bad thumping, heating beating every night from 7 pm until next morning. Sometimes it starts earlier and never stops. Gets worse around 11 pm so unable to sleep as so loud. When I do manage to get a little sleep, it wakes me up with same thing at 4 am and cannot get back to sleep. It also happens during the day. I have no anxiety, and min stress, and highly allergic to medications. Was taking 5mg claritin but too strong. I also have bad ear infections, but unalble to take steriods or antibodicts. This has been ongoing for a year and getting worse and happening every day now. I have gone thru menopause at 53, but possibly still part of it. The only thing I can take is Childrens Benedryl 1 tsp. Sometimes it is skips beats. I suspect food allergies; however, even if I eat nothing, still does it. Worse after eating within a 2 hr period. I have low blood pressure; however high cholestrol as very genic in family. The feeling of a lot of adrenaline pumping, even if not working out. A lot of pressure in the chest as well. I tried bioidential hormones but could not tell any difference. Not taking anything now except B-Complex Sublingual Liquid once a day and the Benedryl if having an allergic reaction.
