Question: The inside of my cheeks (mouth) feel rough and are sensitive to heat and spicy food.

Will it go away? Its been about 3 months and has gotten proggresively worse. Also, theres grey coloration around the rough areas of cheeksand on my lips

Smoke sometimes. Dont chew tobacco. Dont drink. Only feel pain when eating certain foods. No weight loss

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion you are having oral lesions due to vitamin deficiency mostly nutritional.
So try to follow these for better recovery.
1. Avoid hot and spicy food.
2. Drink plenty of fluids.
3. Take soft food only. Avoid hard to chew food.
4. Start multivitamin containing zinc and folic acid.
5. Start anti oxidant tablets.
6. Avoid stress and anxiety.
7. Quit smoking. Not even occasionally.
So, follow these for atleast 1 month. If not improving or worsening than consult ENT specialist for clinical examination.
