Brief Answer:
Need more details; likely false positive

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

I have gone through your query.

It could be a false positive vdrl positivity.
Many infectious diseases have been reported as causes of transient biologic false positive VDRL/RPR e.g viral infections, malaria, leprosy, tuberculosis, infectious mononucleosis etc.
Since your repeat vdrl came out to be negative therefore likely it was a false positive reactivity.

Kindly let me know

-what was vdrl titre, when you tested positive?
-Did you also get any specific test for syphilis?

Regards

Brief Answer:
Yes you can indulge with sexual activity with wife

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
.
Most likely you had a false positive result with vdrl which subsequently came back as negative because non-specific viral infections can give a transient falsely positive vdrl test result.
Yes, you can indulge in sexual activity with your wife.
