Brief Answer:
Make an appointment with Urologist

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

At this age of 66 yrs most women are in their menopause without support from oestrogen hormones. THis could lead to dryness in the vaginal and urethral mucosa and burning as well. The pelvic ligaments, poor abdominal wall support would increase the pressure in the abdominal cavity and thus urine leaks.

If you had too many abdominal surgeries in the past or obese or multiple child births and did not exercise well post labor the muscles lose its ability to contract. These are considered risk factors.

I do not specifically think of urethral polyps but other reasons mentioned above could be well supportive of the urine leaks and occasional accidents. Tilll then I suggest you to use 'DEPENDS' those adult diapers in case you are going out of home where restrooms are not easy to find.

Beside certain medications can cause incontinence. Please avoid water consumption after 5pm.

Hope this helps you. If you do not have any clarifications you may close our discussion.
