Question: I have underarm swelling of lymph nodes -- I am concerned about breast cancer
I have dense breasts that I have monitored constantly. I have had several areas they keep checking - but this underarm swelling is concerning. There are several lumps - although small in size they are very concerning.

Brief Answer:
lymph node evaluation and Us+ MRI for imaging

Detailed Answer:
hi,
Thank you for contacting HCM. Indeed the presence of axillary lymph node should lead to further investigation of your breasts and the lymph node. Since sometimes its hard to interpret on mammography with dense breasts so your screening should be supplemented with U/S and MRI for sure and if possible with molecular imaging. As for the lymph node it needs to be excised if it is there from some time and it needs to be pathologically evaluated. On how your management should be done depends on what results we get and after confirming the diagnosis.
If you have a family history and other risk factors of breast cancer, you may consider using tamoxifen which decreases the risk of breast cancer. Thank you

Brief Answer:
Yes I did

Detailed Answer:
yes I did, but its hard to tell from a picture whether its a lymph node in axillary region. I took your word for it. Please do visit a doctor to confirm whether it is a lymph node in axilla or not. Thank you
