Suggest Treatment For Tenderness And Pulsating Pain On The Left Abdominal Area

default
Posted on Wed, 25 Jan 2017
Question: My left ovary (assumption based on location) feels like it is going to explode. Started a couple of days ago. In general, it feels like I got kicked by a mule but then when I move left it feels like I got shot. The pain pulsates and takes my breath for a few minutes after I stop moving. It is uncomfortable to even walk. The spot is tender to the touch. No pain on the right side. My diet and activities have not changed. I am currently taking no Meds except ibuprofen for the pain. Dulls it enough to help me fall asleep but if I move during the night the pain wakes me up. It is just gas, right? Or do I need to be concerned?

Brief Answer:
You should not leave it like that.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Even a gas should not give such symptoms. Unless the gas can not pass freely due to for example bowels obstruction. Than it hurts and it comes and goes.
If tis ovary, this should also not act like this. Ovary can be twisted or you may have a cyst which could rupture. On both cases, you should rather not leave it alone.
I suggest you to consult your doctor, have abdominal ultrasound, blood work, urine analysis and consult gynecologist. Colonoscopy should be scheduled.

Hope this helps.
Regards.
