Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of Anxiety

Question: I have a breathing problem that I was told was COPD. However my symptons are not making sense. Ive been to the hospital not able to catch my breath. After a breathing treatment I was ok for a while. After tests and xrays and cat scan, none of the doctors have found anything! They gave me antibiotics and tried to give me steroids but I refused because they made me gain a ton of fat the last time I took them. Here are my symptoms: I find that if I am stressed by lifting or cold or heat or needing to urinate or dump, my blood pressures all of a sudden jumps and I have to urinate quickly before I piss on myself and my breathing is gasping for air so much so people ask me if I'm ok.! After I pee my breathing starts to slow and after a lot of deep breathing I gradually return to normal. It is no fun and the doctors cant tell me what it is. Please help me!

Brief Answer:
Do you have stressful life?

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.

Since your extensive reports are normal, I would not be worried about major heart or lung diseases. They are not the likely cause of your problems. In my opinion, you are mostly having stress and anxiety related symptoms. Therefore I will suggest to consult psychiatrist and consider counselling sessions. Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on its solution. You may also try anxiolytic drugs.

In this context, I would like to know
1. Have you ever undergone PFT (Pulmonary Function Test)? I am asking this because without PFT, diagnosis of bronchitis is not possible and you have not mentioned about PFT in your query.
2. Have you ever undergone psychiatrist consultation and counselling?
3. Are you having stressful life?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better. I will be happy to help you further.

Thanks.

First get done PFT.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Your symptoms are very unusual and not fitting in any disease.
But I don't think it is bronchitis or COPD.
So first of all get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to rule out bronchitis.
Please let me know
1. Have you checked for vitamin b 12, vitamin D3 and calcium levels?
2. Do you smoke?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

Since you have smoking history, better to first get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to rule out lung related causes.
Also get done vitamin b 12, vitamin d 3 and calcium level to rule out deficiency. If deficiency then you need supplements.
