Suggest Treatment For Swelling In Right Leg And Foot?

default
Posted on Wed, 11 Feb 2015
Question: Why has my right leg become swollen, has been this way about 2 weeks.
don't know of any injury's to it. Left leg is 14" around calf, right leg is 16.5" around calf. Little to no pain. Starts at upper thigh and goes down to include ankle. Foot not swollen. I take Verapamil for high blood pressure. Blood pressure seems normal. No other symptoms. No history of Diabetes in family.

Brief Answer:
Pleas, can you send pictures to us?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

Please, I will like to see pictures of your legs. from the description, I am pretty sure there is nothing alarming that needs immediate medical attention. Verapamil causes fluid retention around the ankles and this could be a possible side effect though should involve both legs and not just one.

I hope to get the images before concluding. There is no need to be worried and am pretty confident all would be okay.

I wish you well.

Brief Answer:
They are good, please stop being worried!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the images. There is really no problem with these legs ad I will not want to see you get worried by this. Forget it and carry on. Butt for your measurements. I have no reasons to even think there is a difference in the sizes of both calves.

Be relaxed. You look very athletic. keep up and stick to the treatment plan. I wish you well.
