Suggest Treatment For Stomach Infection In An Infant

Question: my 7 months old son has 3-4 pus cells and mucus in his yellowish, watery stool. he passes stool after every feed unlike once a day when he did not have loose motion. does he have an infection. what are the remedies?

It looks like viral gastroenteritis.
I think you can continue the current medicines along with ors in sips frequently.
It may take even 5 days for loose stools to settle, but there is no need for antibiotics now.

Today is the fifth day and he still has frothy slimy stool. i have been breast feeding him and giving him ors (home made with a pinch of salt and a spoon of sugar in a glass of boiled and cooled warm water). Also fed a spoon of smashed boiled rice yesterday. he has developed cough with Flem due to ors. he has passed stool five times yesterday and once since last night. Can i give him flucold for cough? should i continue sporlac twice - once in the morning and once in the night? what foods can i give him?

avoid home ors

Home made ors is not advisable.
Use WHO ORS like electral .
You can give sporolac twice daily.
Flucold can be given.
Preferably give him rice and curd and less of milk.
