Brief Answer:
Unlikely to be a spider bite, possibility of a tissue infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

I have seen the image you uploaded and will be answered by me.

It is unlikely to be spider bite as there is no fang marks seen on the image rather it could be small boil or furuncle.

But in case,if it is spider bite then they are not dangerous to life of a person but needs proper care and treatment. So,there is no need to worry much.

Following measures are advised if you have pain and burning.

1. Clean the area with mild soap and water.

2. Apply cold packs, to reduce pain and inflammation.

3. Take over-the-counter pain relievers like tab.diclofenac 100 mg to reduce pain and inflammation and anti-allergic drugs like cetrizine 10 mg.

4. Apply antiseptic cream or ointment twice daily.

5. As this is a small boil so,no oral antibiotics required.

I expect it will get subsided within 2 or 3 days with above treatment.

Hope your query is answered and will help you.

Fell free to ask if you have any doubts.

Regards,

Dr.Sandip Kabra
