Question: Took Crestor for two 1/2 months and have experienced horrendous side effects....debilitating joint, muscle pain, weakness feel as though I'm coming down with flu....poor balance and no energy for exercise. Doctor suggested taking QOQ10 to help with symptoms and no relief. Have not taken in two weeks and am still experiencing the same symptoms. What now? Need advice, please. XXXX

Brief Answer:
Stop crestor for a month.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query.

Probably main culprit behind all this is crestor because it has been proved that this medicine in many people may cause unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness, unusual tiredness etc.

So I advise you to stop crestor by discussing it with your local doctor.

Take COQ10 and L-Carnitine by prescription of your doctor as alone COQ10 will not help. It will take about one month more for the medications to show their effects.

I hope it helps.

Thanks.

Dr.Singh.
