default
Posted on Thu, 12 Jan 2017
Question: Name is XXXXXXX Sunday, I was standing and talking to someone when I felt a sharp .... real sharp pain under my left arm and at the same time in my left hand. The sharp pain was limited to two fingers. From the little finger.... it was the second and third finger. I was and still un able to make a fist. I can..... bend each one using my right hand to move them. Found out that I can not put my hand flat on a counter with my ARE straight down. This morning, I had trouble putting my sock on. The pain is a sharp, burning pain like someone put a niddle in my two fingers. Have never had this before.

Brief Answer:
Avoid overuse of elbow and wrist.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query.

You are having ulnar neuritis.

It occurs due to repetitive use of wrist or elbow, or sometimes pressure on elbow.

All you need is avoid elbow activities and computer usage.

Have cap. rabiprazole empty stomach, tab aceclofenac 100mg + serratiopeptidase 15 mg thrice a day, cap. pregabalin 75 mg + methylcobalamine 750 mcg at night.

Apply hot packs.

If still symptoms don't improve after 7 days then go for steroid injection locally.

I hope it helps.

Thanks,

Dr.CHANDER XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
