Suggest Treatment For Sharp Pain In Lower Right Calf
I’m a 58 year old male, average weight for slight build. Not under a doctor’s care. Nonsmoker, no drugs (prescription or otherwise), moderate to slightly above average beer drinker, single, live alone, and diet is not the best.
Please get investigations done as advised.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
It could be one of a number of things.
Is there any swelling in the limb or any colour change in the toes?
Do the toes of one limb feel colder than the other?
Is there any wound on any toe or the foot?
Does the pain get aggravated in any specific position?
I suggest you get a Color Doppler of your lower limbs done to rule out any block in your arteries and veins.
This is quite possible and only after examining you and seeing Doppler report as to whether there are any blocks. If the Doppler report is clear then another possibility could be Nerve compression in the lower back for which an Xray of the LS Spine would be needed. For the pain you can take Capsule Tramadol, maximum three a day.
Please do let me know the reports so I can advice treatment that can be started.
Take care and feel free to ask any queries that might arise on this issue.
