Suggest Treatment For Severe Upper Abdominal Pain

default
Posted on Thu, 13 Oct 2016
Question: I've been having severe pain in my right upper abdomen, around my right rib cage and in my back. My stomach feels bloated and my skin hurts to the touch, even when putting on a shirt or taking a shower. I've been to the emergency room 4 times in the past 2 weeks and all of my labs, ct scans, X-rays and ultrasounds have come back as me being as healthy as a horse. My last visit, the doctor said that he saw a section of my intestines as a little swollen and said it looked like an intestinal infection. He put me on 2 different antibiotics, percocet and dytol. It's been 5 days and there has been no improvement to the pain, bloating and skin hurting. I don't know what else to do. I have no problem urinating, I'm not constipated, my stool is normal and I do not have diarrhea. I have had no nausea or vomiting. I only feel comfortable laying on my back.

Brief Answer:
Need a detailed evaluations to find the cause.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for the query.
The site of the pain you have can be affected with underlying organs affection (right sided lung infection/liver problem/digestive problem with bloating with gases./pinched spinal nerve at thorasic level.
As per your reports you have been investigated sufficiently for intestinal infrctions along with CT scan/usg of the part without any abnormal finding. It's not clear from your information about what tests were done ,still I would suggestconsultation of a physician to have a detailed overview of the possible affected organs followed by needful investigations followed by specific treatment or refferal to needful expert for further management.
I hope the answer is informative & guiding to you. Any other information you want.. please don't hezitate to ask. I would be happy to help.
Thanks.
