It is unrelenting in nature. additionally he had a fall on the ice and landed on his back and his neck sub occipital hit the corner of a porch stair. Each issue is separate from each other. Brief Answer:
falls and pain can be serious

Detailed Answer:
Cannot say abour your praticular situation but there are several general medical issues that are relevant.
A fall with hitting th head can cause serious problmes. A small bleed inside the skull can eventually be fatal as it displaces the brain. Signs would be decreasing level of consciousness, nausea/vomiting and/or stroke like symptoms. Concussion can also occur signs would be headache in addition to the ones mentioned. Changes in personality are probably the most common sign of concussion (irritBILITY)

Then, abdominal pain can be a serious sign. Indication of a more serious aetiology would include the length and severity of the pain. A break in the abdominal wall or a break in an internal vessel wall can do this and these can be quite serious.

On the side pain, there can be internal bleeding that is stretching the abdomen BUT this would show bruising, distention and likely shock. Does NOT soulnd like this. More minor bruising can do this and often doesn't hurt untill the next day.

I have been trying to get him to go for at least a CAT scan but he is resistant. Would damage to a cervical disc or slight displacement cause the painful tingling in his skin?

Brief Answer:
well... technically yes

Detailed Answer:
a problem in a neural structure will have effects outward from the problem. Since the neck is at the top of the body, cervical spine problems are notorious in tricking people into thinking the problme is somwhere else. The most common presentation, though, is pain in the neck going outward and down the arms to the hands, associated with spasm, decreased range of comfortable neck movement and perhaps problems with strength, reflexes, even circulation.

One painful area in the center of the body is a real stretch to say it is from the neck. Likewise it would depend on the pattern of the tingling... tingling in the pattern I described is VERY COMMONLY due to a neck problem. If it's tingling in a small area not connected into the spine... no.. doesn't really fit.
