Question: muscle cramps in one or both legs and sometimes feet ! Occurring almost every night while sleeping in horizontal position ! Must walk 20 minutes briskly for it to subside ! Right foot cramped while driving car
last week ! ( first time ) !

Muscle cramps may not be caused only by lack of potassium but also other minerals may have role such as calcium, magnesium and vitamin B 12 so you need these supplements too. Another possible cause is vascular insufficiency so you should do Doppler ultrasound to rule out this.

Also some neuropathic disorders may be cause as well but this is rare.
