Question: I have got pain in my knee. I don't get that while walking but it hurt a little while standing up or climbing down the stairs. The pain is not severe and is of very low intensity. But I want to cure it at the start itself.

Please let me know what can I do bout it.

Brief Answer:
Patellar tendinitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi there

Thanks for the query

It looks like you have Patellar tendinitis which is inflammation of the tension that connects the thigh muscle to the leg bone near the knee.

Apply hot packs to the affected region. Take Tablet Ibuprofen 400mg twice a day after meals and Tablet Rabeprazole twice a day before meals for 5 days.

Avoid squatting, cross leg sitting, climbing stairs and kneeling. Wear a short knee brace for 2 weeks. Perform physiotherapy for quadriceps strengthening.

Do get an Xray of the knee AP, Lateral and Skyline views of the Xray.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
