Detailed Answer:
Hi
Dr. Purushottam welcomes you to HCM virtual clinic!
Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully gone through your query, and I think I have understood your concern. I will try to address your medical concerns and would suggest you the best of the available treatment options.

1)First of all do not panic.

2) I would like to know if you have natural menopause or is it after hysterectomy?
And by chance are you on any medications for any medical illness?

3) I will suggest you to take prescription for tablets containing isoflavones. Various pharma companies market it even as a food supplement, and not as a medicine.
Taking such preparations once a day for 3 months will be of help. It will not only reduce and or stop your hot flashes but will also have healthy effect on bones , muscles and lipid profile(cholesterol)

4) Also -
I will suggest indulging in a healthy diet and regular exercise regime, exercise as permitted for your age and mobility- may be walking, stretching etc.
Include plenty of fruits, salads, vegetables in the diet.
Have adequate water intake.
Avoid deep fried foods, bakery products, and refined sugars.
Avoid substance abuse, if any.
Daily supplementations of Iron, calcium, vitamin D3 and Vitamin B12 will be of help.

5) If your cough is dry one, steam inhalation or warm salt water gargles will be helpful. If cough is with sputum, then simple cough expectorant can be taken.

I hope my answer helps you.
Thanks.
Wish you great health.
