Suggest Treatment For Severe Cramps In The Hands And Feet

default
Posted on Sat, 16 Jul 2016
Question: For the past few weeks I have been experiencing high intensity cramping in my hands and feet. A finger or finger and thumb become "stuck" in a painful position. For some reason I cannot seem to work them to straighten them back out. I find myself staring at the fingers and somehow am not able to sense them to make them move. I use my other hand and regain control instantaneously. It is the strangest feeling ever. I also get major muscle twitching at night which invariably leads to a charley horse which is agony. This happened three times last night. I have never had more than a few a year up until now. My doctor has prescribed psyclobenaprene (sp?). What could be going on? She seems fairly concerned and I will see her Friday. Normally, she is very non-challlant about my various issues, such as shingles, pluresy, etc.

Brief Answer:
you need to take calcium and vitamin D3

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. Cramps in muscles is due to low calcium and vitamin D3. Taking muscle relaxant like Cyclobenaprene is not going to effective in this.I have following suggestions for you.
1.Whenever you have such cramps drink glass of water with a tea spoon ful salt. You will immediately feel better.
2.Take 1000 mg calcium daily and 60000 unit vitamin D3 per week for six weeks.
3.Avoid very cold temperature. Hot water bath is also useful for you.
I hope these answers will be useful for you.Let me know if their is any other followup questions.
thanks
