Brief Answer:
Hormonal pill and painkiller should be taken to reduce pain.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear,

Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:

1) Endometriosis is associated with chronic pelvic pain and heavy bleeding. It will get worse over the time until you get menopause.

2) Oral contraceptive pill or progesterone shot is quite effective to control abdominal pain and heavy period. Non Steroid Anti-Inflammatory Drug (combined Diclofenac and paracetamol) should be added in this case. Kindly, consult with your treating gynecologist for complete prescription.

3) At this age (40 yrs), best treatment is hysterectomy (removal of uterus with both side ovary and tube) as your family is completed. Laparoscopic approach would be better to undergo evaluation and perform this surgery. It will give complete cure.

Hope, I have answered your query. Wish your good health and take care.
