Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. Repeat your Absolute Eosinophil Count (AEC). In addition get a Hemogram, stool, urine, liver and kidney function tests done. A Chest X-ray should also be done.

2. If there is significant eosinophilia, repeat the earlier medication and you will improve. Avoid steroids (predinisolone) till the above tests are normal.

3. You seem to have Eosinophilic Esophagitis. A gastro-endoscopy can be done. In such conditions, a Food Intolerance test can help follow an exclusion diet which slowly reduces the eosinophilia.

I hope that I have answered your queries. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.

Regards.

sir, I have done all the aforesaid test ie, hemogram, stoo urine, liver, kidney, all tests are normal except increased AEC nd Chest XRay was NAD I mean normal, I have no h/o asthama nd not having any breathing issues.I never had coughing. sir I underwent one more test ie Allery screening test called as phadiatop test, nd its value was 83.9 means positive, I have attached image of that test which I underwent few days ago,
sir symptoms are it feels like there is lot of heat in body nd its seems evolving from body, it skin is too sensitive, it feel awkward when I enter ac room or take bath in slighty cold water, sexual organ is also very sensitive nd cant even last for a minute while sex, there is also a lot of sexual weakness. body also feels weak nd apetite is very less. get tired very soon , body development is not proper, I m quite thin nd body feels like a bit shrinking nd not developing.
sir I m thinking that its a case of permanent allergy either from outside allergen or may be a case of autoimmunity, nd it is difficult to cure nd it will hamper my married life nd my body growth in future, nd medicine which u prescribed will help temporarily for the tym being. but sir I want to get rid of it, sir can u tell me what the real issue is nd what is its diagnosis, as an educated guy I will understand, plz brief me properly nd advice some treament

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. The Phadiatop test is more useful in inhalant allergies. Since you do not have any respiratory symptoms (no cough, asthma, breathing issues, normal chest X-ray), this test is of doubtful value.

2. You seem to have mild Urticaria (feeling of heat emanating from the body). Is there any rash at times? There are many reasons for urticaria, such as cold temperature, stress, food intolerance and so on.

3. Your general health and well being will definitely improve after even the short term treatment. You must start the treatment again.

4. There is no cure for allergy, however with medication and elimination of the allergens, there will be substantial improvement.

I hope that I have answered your queries. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.

Regards.

Sir firstly u told I m having eosinophilic esophagitis but but sir my phadiatop test is positive so may be it can be inhalant allergen, but sir all my symptoms are constant and permanent in nature, I mean not short term, sir I also feel that I could have respiratory issues as I underwent spirometry ie PFT nd the curve was not normal nd I feel tightness in chest nd stomach while taking long breath, sir hairs are getting white but when I underwent tje earlier mecdication, hairs tared getting black but its same story again, u told me I could also have urticaria I have hives few yrs back on my chest nd back side on shoulder but now there is nothing, I had my hemogramnow again nd it showed AEC was 531 to which I m surprised but my Eosinophill was 10 nd monocyte -7, rest value was normal.
Sir I think I also have respiratory problem, so all option are there as I m unsure about it, since I told u all my symptoms nd history plz u come to some conclusion nd tell me what is the real diagnosis nd advice treament for that ie mecdication. Sir when I was on mecdication all symptoms went away at once, so one thing is clear all these symptoms are connected to each other, but sir when I stopped mecdication, all this came back, sir I want after mecdication I should be ssymptoms free as I cant leave my whole life on continuos medication.
Sir plz advice or give me some contact no so that I can take proper nd extensive treatment from u.

Hi,

Thank you for writing back.

1. As your respiratory system tests are within normal limits, the tightness in the chest and stomach while taking along breath is most probably due to chronic acid reflux and esophagitis. Get an opinion of a Gastroenterologist.

2. You have Eosinophilia. You need to take a repeat course of DEC/Hetrazan and check whether the levels return to normal. At the same time, all the abovementioned tests must be done. Upload the results here.

3. In the XXXXXXX population, it is usually tropical eosinophilia (related to a parasitic infestation). Much higher eosinophilia levels are also seen, but in different conditions.

4. Any test including the Phadiatop, can have false positive and false negative results. variations between tests done at different times are normal. You may never be able to pinpoint all possible allergens, however by eliminating the suspected ones (such as with Food Intolerance tests), your quality of life will improve.

5. You hair turning white will have more to do with your genetic history, stress and environmental (for example water quality) issues.

6. Before you consider any further treatment, complete the medication, investigation and consultations. You may follow up directly at bit.ly/Dr-Sumit-Bhatti

I hope that I have answered your queries. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
