Suggest Treatment For Right Lower Back Pain Along With Nausea And Chills

Question: I am currently experiencing right lower back pain with nausea as well as fever chills. I've currently had two urinalysis done by my doctor within two months and ice received no answers. The urine seemed foul smelling to me but my doctor says otherwise. Can you enlighten me on what maybe going on with me? The fever and chills along with lower back pain has just started over a few days. Thank you.

You seem to have Urinary Stone with UTI.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have fever with chills and pain in Right lower back since few days.

Pain in Rt back with fever and chills is strongly suggestive of Stone either in kidney or ureter with secondary infection .

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical assessment and get following basic tests done under his guidance to confirm the diagnosis.
1)Routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.
2) Ultrasound Scanning of abdomen and pelvis to rule out/confirm possibility of urinary stone

Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefexime along with urinary
antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water.To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.
