Suggest Treatment For Recurring Stomach Cramps Along With Nausea

Question: I have been suffering with severe stomach cramps on and off for the past week,with lot of what feels like trapped wind,feeling nauseated at times and appetite not good when like this,I suffer from IBS,and Diverticular Disease,have taken medication prescibed to me but nothing seems to be helping.

Detailed Answer:
Dear patient,

there is the possibility that you have acute gastroenteritis on top of ibs or a ibs "attack".
Normally this will should be better soon by itself, often it is helpful take in herbal tea or water and only light foods for a few days, applying local warmth. Also some relaxation techniques might help.
If this doesn't improve i would usually rule out any acute inflammation through blood work and ultrasound if you were my patient.
