Suggest Treatment For Raised And Pus Filled Sore

default
Posted on Tue, 5 May 2015
Question: I have a sore that's slightly raised and filled with blood. Possibly a blister or boil. It's one sore that pops up, busts, and then leaves a scar and then recurs in a month or less. When it pops it has a solid bloody jelly ball inside it. It's on my butt cheek close to my crack. I'm pregnant so I have no idea what to put on it to make it better. I've changed my soap several times I'm bathing with. One that's a lower PH and I still get it. Help

Furuncle

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
You might have developed recurrent furunculosis.
These are deep bacterial infections.
Treatment is with antibiotics.
I treat such cases with topical mupirocin and amoxicillin capsules.
These are safe in pregnancy.
You can try it in consultation with your doctor.
Let me know if you have any other doubt.
Wishing you a good health.Thank you
