Brief Answer:
Likely to be due to pseudomonas.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The presence of a moderate growth of pseudomonas from the nose and the symptoms that you have described are suggestive of an ongoing infection in the area.
The antibiotic best for you can be detected by a culture sensitivity report. However this infection can best be treated with piperacillin and gentamicin. You can get the necessary antibiotics prescribed form your treating physician.
I hope this answers your query.

can the PET with radioactive contrast and the MRI and CT scan be said to be conclusive in ruling out an infection of any of the bones of the face and skull ?

Is the infection in your opinion a local chronic infection of the right sinuses and nose cavity or do you think considering the symptoms that the infection has spread to the lining/mucus membrane of the inner ear and mastoid or even the bones ?

I am afraid of an overlooked infection of the bones since the pain can be very persistent and feels deep and the bones over the ear and jaw joint - the attachment of the os zygomatic bone to the temple is especially tender when touching as is the cheekbone itself below the eye or is all this just referred pain from a chronic sinus infection - there was at one point some pus totally clear colorless but very thick and gluelike but has not been much mucus slime for a long time now

Brief Answer:
A chronic infection likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
PET with radioactive contrast and other investigations cannot conclusively rule out the infection. The infection may have spread to the mucous membranes. Infections of bones would have been detected on MRI and PET scan. Only a culture sensitivity can be confirmatory.
The pain near the T-M joint can be a referred pain. It is not necessary that the infection is affecting the bones.
Hope my answer is helpful.
