Brief Answer:
Managing PMR (polymyalgia rheumatica) as following....

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You are saying to have developed PMR (poly-myalgia rheumatica). May I know what type of surgery have you undergo that has been complicated with PMR?

Can you please give more details on the symptoms you are currently having?

With regards to treatment of PMR, corticosteroids are mostly prescribed as in your case (Prednisone 10 mg). However, supplements containing calcium (up to 1500 mg/daily) and vit.D (up to 1000 IU/daily) are also prescribed in order to prevent the bone loss resulting from use of steroids.

Physiotherapy is also recommended depending on your status of being inactive.

Thank you!
Dr.Albana
