Suggest Treatment For Persistent Knee Pain
Question: Hi Doctor,
I asked a question related to my wife's knee pain (to suggest some gels as she is 6 wk pregnant) three weeks back. Following is your answer
"she seems to have tendinitis of a muscle on left side of knee.
giving her analgesic tablets orally should be avoided as she is pregnant. at the most she can take paracetamol,if the pain is severe.
she can use liniments like arnopen or other ayurvedic herbal gels for local application.
allopathic gels should be avoided as the drug gets absorbed in the body and cause adverse effects on the baby.
hot fomentation and using a compression bandage will help."
As you suggested Ayurvedic herbal gels can we apply Vicco XXXXXXX gel? It says it's a ayurvedic medicine but can you look into its details and confirm. Or can you suggest any ayurvedic/other brand that she can use which will not effect baby?
