Brief Answer:
Do test for tuberculosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
welcome to HealthcareMagic.
can understand your concern.

The medicine that your pediatrician has given and symptoms of chest congestion and cough suggest that your child has most probably wheeze associated lower respiratory tract infection. Since cough has decreased, it means that child is improving.

However, the fact that she has cough for 3 weeks and still it's persisting can be due to tuberculosis. In tuberculosis there is weight loss, persistent cough, low grade fever. Also, there is history of contact with tuberculosis person.

Kindly do complete blood count, ESR levels, Montreux test, X-Ray chest to rule out tuberculosis. Review with reports.

I hope that it will help you.
Wishing your child good health.
Take care.
