Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. The testis is a delicate part of your body. If there is a sudden, severe pain in one testis then a testicular torsion is to be ruled out and it is a concern and requires to be seen by a doctor urgently. If there is pain in both scrotum or testis then it is likely to be an inflammation.

2. If the pain in your case is less then is most likely an inflammation of scrotal wall or testis and epididymis, however more serious causes need to be ruled out by clinical examination and doing ultrasound scan scrotum if required.

3. Answers to the following questions might help to know the possible cause of your symptoms.
- Onset of scrotum or testis pain and whether it is on one side or both sides? When did the pain start? Whether there is any suspected fluid collection?
- What were you doing when pain started?
- What makes pain better or worse? Sitting, standing or lying down.
- Sudden or gradual onset?
- Constant or intermittent pain?
- Any symptoms like fever, urinary symptoms or abdominal pain?
- Do you have a penile discharge, any genital lesions or rectal pain?
- Are you taking any medications? any past medical and surgical history, allergies which you might be aware of.

Please write back with requested updates. Until then you might take pain relief tablet like diclofenac or ibuprofen in recommended doses after food.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
