Question: hello this problem started 12/12/13 when I was crushed between the tire and tong of a very large slab hauler split my clavical and broke a few ribs was crushed from 1 shoulder to the other flexing them backward until my bones broke. had plate and several screws put in a year later had them removed both sides of neck shoulder arms hands hurt all the time. I was later seen by a doctor check out over 4 hours. He told me I had thoracic outlet syndrome. a month ago I was on my back lifted my head to swing a hammer got dizzy and felt like I was going to throw up. I called the same doctor and was told it was TOS last week I started off could not talk stated dropping things over and over. Just shortly seconds later couldn't walk good seconds later left side went numb and couldn't move it at all. Called 911 went to the ER was given TPA after a few hours seem to have gotten everything back but some eye sight and field vision. Today went to rush university and found out I only have to turn my head and it diminished my radial pulse right when on both sides. And I drive a 33000lbs truck at work don't have the money to keep paying doctors however I don't want this to happen again and kill some one

As I was in ICU I had 18 blood test sent to mayo clinic all came back good. 3 CT scans MRI OF THE head and neck MRA of both sides EKG twice artries check no build up of any kind

Brief Answer:
You need to avoid movements/positions that favor this!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am so sorry to hear about what you sustained. This syndrome is managed with physical therapy and pain management. Surgery is always the last option and I really don’t think this is ideal for you at this point as the results are not always stellar and only come in when we can no longer do otherwise.

My advise is that you identify all the movements and positioning that provoke/aggravate your symptoms (Neurological and pains) and stay away from them. At work, identify what works best for you. If in pain, ket the doctor manage appropriately. However, am sorry to say there is no magical bullet that can get you back to the exact state in which you were before the accident.

I wish you well. Stay positive and feel free getting back to me with more questions if need be.
Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
