Posted on Mon, 30 Mar 2015
Question: Hi,

I have been experiencing pain in my both eyes from one week
I visited a doctor and he tested my sight..and it was same as previously which i used to be..so he said it maybe due to strain..I work mostly on computers...just for background..but i am doing this from last 9 years or so...There is no redness nor irritation nor dryness in my eyes..just the pain is too uncomfortable

I used a pill which he gave me..but that doesn't have much effect on me

Can you advise any other alternative treatment/drops/medicine?

Brief Answer:
You need analgesic tablets and artificial tears eye drops.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic

I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an Ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.

I reviewed your history.

It seems from the history that you are having pain in both the eyes.
The common causes for this are
1. Refractive error
2. Dryness of eyes
3. Inflammation of the eyes.

Since you have been checked for refractive error and eye sight is normal, this rules out this condition.

The dryness of eye presents with irritation and eye strain.
The inflammation of the eye will have symptoms of redness, pain...
Since you are not having any of these symptoms, no need to be worried.

You have been prescribed with zerograin, a tablet given for treatment of migraine.

I will suggest you to take analgesic and pain killer tablets for pain relief.
Along with the this tablet use of artificial tears will provide symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.
