Question: I had an ekg regarding chest pain, results didn't show any cardiac abnormalities related to ongoing chest pain all vitals were normal too. Doc said it could be gastric issue that seems cardiac related, but foods DO NOT bring on the pain. Just now I had an episode of tightening that lasted approx. 10sec, as I exhaled it intensified a bit. I am sitting, no exertion whatsoever...what else could it be?

Brief Answer:
Can be spine related or just muscle pain

Detailed Answer:
Dear Mrs,

If you have sharp and short pain which is not associated with physical activity and food intake, then most probably it is a muscle pain, it can be related to a spine problems as well.
Nowadays people have sedentary lifestyle, don't have correct posture and good diet, so muscle pains and pains caused by minor spine problems are quite common. It is not dangerous and usually relieved with time, especially when a person does exercises for spine, swims and tries to have right posture.

Take care
