Brief Answer:
Can be due to injury or muscle spasm.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain in the butt cheek that you have can be due to a minor soft tissue injury in the area or a muscle spasm. It will gradually decrease with regular hot compress and mild pain killers and avoiding any painful activities. In case the pain persists or increases then do consult an orthopedician for a direct examination.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
