Question: 42yo female. Have had IBS my whole life. recently got back from mexico. started Humeria 3 weeks ago for my HS. have had hemorrhoids with the burning pain or bled with a hard stool but this is different....starting yesterday i noticed blood in my stool, bright red, interwoven in the stool, now when i pass gas there is good amount of just mucous and blood and smells a bit.... no symptoms, no pain in stomach, no burning itching like hemorrhoids.... i will go to the doctors on Monday if continues.... any ideas? anything i should and should not eat or take? Thank you for your time.

You possibly seem to have lower Gastrointestinal infection.

I generally prescribe a short course of oral antibiotics like Ofloxacin and Ornidadazole 400/500 mg for 5 days.

This will help to clear the infection.
