Brief Answer:
I suggest screening for STDs or empirical treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.
Although protected sex is considered to be safe in terms of STDs which could give rise to such a possibility e.g gonorrhea and chlamydia can cause epididymo-orchitis as a complication. However i would suggest that you get doubly sure by taking a urine Nucleic Acid Screening Test (NAAT) for gonorrhea and chlamydia Or else you may take an empirical treatment for these infections under doctors supervision. I would suggest you to take doxycycline twice daily for a week along with a tablet of gatifloxacin once daily for a week.

Brief Answer:
Effective treatment is available for STDs

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Empirical treatment for STDs is sometimes necessary depending on the clinical symptoms and most probable diagnosis. That is the point I am stressing upon considering the symptoms that you have. Testicular pain due to epididymo-orchitits can be a complication of STDs Or it can also be due to a blood borne infection. Since it has been persisting for more than 2 months therefore it would be worthy giving a course of an Oral antibiotics considering the possibilities. Antibiotics are prescription medications and You must take the treatment under supervision and guidance of your local doctor.
STD's may be viral, bacterial or protozoal; effective management options are available for these infections. STDs like Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Genital Warts, Trichomoniasis etc can be cured/ eradicated with treatment. However, some STDs like herpes, Hiv once acquired would stay in body for the rest of life and either cause symptoms from time to time e.g genital herpes Or depending on the stage of disease e.g Hiv. Protected sex is mostly protective against most STD's. Anyways it is always better to have sex with a single trustworthy partner.

Brief Answer:
Your test is reliable and conclusive

Detailed Answer:
Hi. I have reviewed the attachments

Your test results are reliable and conclusive. It is a 4 th generation test.
ARS usually manifests after 3-4 weeks of Hiv infection. Your symptoms of sore throat and cold could be due to a normal flu, which is otherwise quite common.
