Brief Answer:
Can be induration or a pack inside

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: abscess drained yesterday - no pain - hand tissue got hardened near the left hand area - and little red in color - Amoxicillin and Azee - worried about success of operation.

Please give additional information:
Age and gender.
Any associated medical problems like diabetes?

The cause of the apparent hardening is usually the indurated tissues at the periphery that have not gone into abscess formation or there may be a pack inside the wound that gives this feeling.
Since the surgery is done a day ago, it is premature to say anything about the concerns, Change of dressing will give the real picture.
Continue on the good antibiotics you have.
Change the dressings regularly.

You will be fine.
You may please send the picture of the wound on removal of the dressing if permitted by your Dresser/Doctor.

I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for further queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.

Today she undressed the wound..and then pressed it several times to get the blood stained pus out.she did dressing twice as blood was flowing after the first dressing..she opened the dressing and again did the dressing.

Finally i dnt feel blood oozing and also the tissue around it has got little soft.the wound is there but she said she will do dressing in monday.
Gave me two antibiotic injection.

My age is 25 and i dnt hv any diabetes.but i had typhoid in mth of october.i am an occassional drinker.which my doc asked to stop immediately.
The entire episode has happened bcz of low immunity the doc said.she askes to add more green in my diet.

Gave an extra vitamin tonic ..no changes in antibiotics.
