Suggest Treatment For Pain And Urinary Retention

default
Posted on Tue, 21 Jun 2016
Question: I am a 20 year old female and haven't been able to urinate for over 24 hours. No amount of time I try, I still am unable to go. I have drank an enormous amount of fluids because I have been so incredibly thirsty, but it is starting to build up and cause me pain. I feel a lot of pressure down low and am becoming nervous. It doesn't hurt to try to use the bathroom, but it does after due to not being able to go. What might be wrong, or what is causing this problem?

Brief Answer:
Need urgent hospital visit

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Not able to pass urine for over 24 hours is an emergency condition, and you should go to the hospital immediately.
You are having urinary retention, and this is leading to pain.
Urinary retention can occur due to infection, some nervous dysfunction in the bladder or something pushing on bladder like fibroid or any other mass.
You need to be properly examined, investigated and treated accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
