Sore throat and arthritis likely. Needs work up.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Pain and swelling in extremities like hands , wrist and elbow at age of 67 are likely a rheumatological manifestations of osteoarthritis an age related articular degeneration. However there is no harm in getting evaluated and ruling out differentials other than that. Take some NSAID like aleve, ibuprofen or any other and see if it helps. Add calcium supplements and vitamin D to your diet. That will help the bones degeneration and mineralization density.

Regarding sore throat, get a swab of it, If it comes bacterial then you will need antibiotics. Other wise most of the sore throats are viral and self resolves. Salt water one teaspoon in one glass of 12 ounces of warm water and gargle your throat every 4 hours. Take warm beverages like tea, mixed herbal tea with honey, drink plenty of fluids and keep an eye on your symptoms. Remove any trigger if any like smoking, dust and dry environment, acid reflux of the stomach or poor oral hygiene as these all can lead to sore throat.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.
