Question: Have osteoarthritis in several joints, including left shoulder. New is that the shoulder hurts as usual + I ache in the area from the left shoulder to the middle of the neck in the back & now it's an achy burn there + on the entire left side of my face & head. Am taking aspirin or ibuprofen on a regular basis to take the edge off. This started about a week ago. What do you think???

Brief Answer:
Can be vitamin B 12 deficiency.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The achy burn in the area and on the face and head can be related to low levels of vitamin B12. You can get the levels evaluated and start with proper supplements. Mild nerve root irritation can also be the cause that can be detected on an MRI scan.
I hope this answers your query.
