Question: I have nausea and am suffering from a bad attack of flu even though I was given the flu jab, There is the desire to vomit but unable to do so. I hurt all over and do not want food. I am 82 and fairly healthy. Should I take "stemetil"?

Brief Answer:
Since you are not vomiting, I will not recommend stemetil for now!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this flu attack. Vaccines may not prevent us from flu 100% but always make any disease less severe than it should have been without the vaccines. Have you taken any medications like Tylenol for the muscle aches? This would help. Also, exercise moderately, consume much fruits and vegetables and also take enough rest.

Stemetil would not be a good option for now as there is no vomiting. Please, when we are sick eating is no longer for the beauty of it but for the necessity. I know you don't really feel as to but, try and give it a though. Eat to get well and don't eat because you are well.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
