Question: I noticed recently white little lumps on the spots at the back of my throat one behind palatopharyngeal arch which is a lump which is red and another on the back of my throat each side with red bumps and white little things on them. What is it? As i dont know how long ive had it for. I don't drink or smoke. Is it cancer like throat cancer or mouth cancer! I'm 27 female. Is it cancer? As I have white sack looking things behind my tonsil as well with which look like blood vessels. But anyway is the picture I'm sending behind palatopharyngeal arch which is a lump which is red and another on the back of my throat each side with red bumps and white little things on them. Is it cancer? It's more red than anything I'm scared please help,

Brief Answer:
Definitely not cancer!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this worry concerning the spots you noticed. I have reviewed the attached image and al is normal. These whitish spots are normal and just represent transient observations. No cancer would ever start with multiple site like on this image. cancer would most certainly start as a single growing mass before ever spreading to adjacent areas to produce multiple spots.

The tonsils, especially on the right, though increased in size does not pose any problem at this time.

In all, this is normal and there are no suggestive signs of mouth or throat cancer. This doesn’t warrant any further medical evaluation at this time.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.

So near and behind palatopharyngeal arch which is a lump/spot is normal? If it was cancer of any kind like tonsil or alatopharyngeal arch would I have symptoms? So I shouldn't worry? Is it normal for red spots and white marks/spots?

Brief Answer:
You shouldn’t be the least worried!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

There is nothing abnormal with your throat. These are all normal observations that we see as we examine many patients daily. If it were cancer, before being event to the naked eyes you must have reported several symptoms of weight loss, fatigue, low grade fever, lack of appetite, etc.

Be calm and relaxed about this and keep moving forward. I wish you well
