Suggest Treatment For Lump In The Scrotal Area

default
Posted on Thu, 1 Oct 2015
Question: I have a hard smaller than pea sized lump in scrotom, NOT on testicle. It feels like is it on the tubing connected to testicle. I feel it best when laying on back, pushing toward my body right below my testicles. It has not grown in size over the past three months or so, my GP didn't seem too concerned but when I touch it some, it causes some light dull pain. Advice?

Brief Answer:
USG, color doppler , actual examination by Surgeon

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read and understood your history related to annual check up, visit to a family Doctor, masturbation and finding a hard smaller than a pea lump in the scrotum on the tubing connected to testicle, not grown over past 3 months. Your GP does not look to be bothered but you get light dull pain on touching.

Advise:
Ultrasonography with color doppler along with actual examination by a General Surgeon or Urologist will give you the proper diagnosis and the decision for further management whether to go for surgery or to keep this under observation.

The most probable reason for such a lump can be cyst of the cord, cyst from the epididymis and so on.

I hope this answer helps you.
